A truely unforgettable experience with Dulara and the team at Ahaspokuna. It’s difficult to pinpoint one thing that stood out as everything was exceptional. TheGlenrock is a magical place for us, which is not only located in a beautiful jungle landscape, but also offers the best service - always with a big smile and the “we make it happen” attitude. No wish is left unfulfilled, everything is possible. The penthouse where we stayed offers a spectacular view, the large terrace is a wonderful place to sit, and a few floors below is the restaurant with really delicious cuisine. We often saw the chefs picking herbs and salads from their own garden. So: everything is fresh and delicious. Special thanks to Asanka, who really knows no problem and always finds a solution, Thusith, who looked after us so lovingly and took us on the most beautiful tours into the jungle, always in a good mood, and Nevika, the best masseur and yoga teacher (on the roof with a view in the morning). But all the staff were also always smiling and so friendly. A magical place you won't forget.

Beautifully situated, among the jungle and a garden embedded in it. We arrived quite late, but despite this they waited for us and offered us dinner! The caretaker of the facility is a very nice gentleman who cares a lot about the well-being of his guests. The guesthouse is decorated in a uniform style that matches the surroundings. Every detail is thought out. The rooms are spotlessly clean, always with a view of the jungle (some, like ours, also have a balcony). In the morning we had a delicious breakfast - fruit and a chosen form of egg. It was a sufficient portion for us. In addition, coffee / tea / juice. It was wonderful for us to wake up in such surroundings and start the day like this. Although the monkeys jumped on the roof of our building, it was an additional attraction for us. I would like to visit such places more often. Hidden gems with excellent service.

The recently opened Senaya Homestay was a pure blessing on this trip. Located in a beautiful and quiet region, it's a short ride to many great natural sites. Sumit and his family are all so kind, generous and welcoming. The food prepared by his wife, with the talented support of their older daughter, offers a tasty overview of Srilankan home cooking, always packed with delicious flavours. They also have delightful single origin local tea. I really feel like this perfect stay at Senaya and the always interesting conversations with Sumit gave me a true access to the country's culture, cuisine, nature, history, geography and so much more. Could not be more grateful. Thanks for everything you are sharing so genuinely and I really hope to come back again one day.
