The prices can vary a lot, so that's also a reason why I didn't extend my stay. I love the shared baths – 2 baths in the female section and the water of the onsen one was just 36 degrees, which makes it bearable to stay for a longer period. We had a room with view of the castle which was amazing both day and night. The rooms with this view cost a little more but it is well worth the expense in our opinion.
