The location was truly amazing, especially for those seeking a quiet escape from loud tourist areas. The property boasts one of the best views on the island and is conveniently close to beautiful tourist attractions such as Gorropu Canyon, Dolina di Tiscali, Grotta di Ispinigoli, and the amazing coast of Cala Gonone. Lastly, our host, Alessio, was truly amazing, incredibly helpful, and ensured our stay was perfect.

We honestly lost track of time just wandering through the many hidden nooks, terraces, and art installations scattered throughout. Every turn offered a new surprise, a new moment to savor. The staff were equally remarkable — incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely passionate about making your stay memorable. Despite the elegance of the setting, there’s nothing pretentious here — just warm, Sardinian hospitality at its finest. And then there’s the food: an absolute highlight. Dinner was such an experience, rooted in tradition but elevated with creativity and care. The ingredients were fresh, seasonal and the flavours rich and authentic . The wine selection was equally impressive, showcasing an incredible range of local Sardinian labels that complemented every dish beautifully. Su Gologone doesn’t just offer luxury — it offers meaning, depth, and connection. It’s a place that stays with you long after you leave. We’re already planning our return, and next time we’re staying longer to soak in every moment of this magical place.

The location is perfect for hiking and there is a bus to cala gonone if you wish some beach time. Ivan was exceptionnally welcoming...it was raining the day I arrived and instead of waiting for the late bus to get to the bus stop after oliena village...he sent me a volunteer to get me from Oliena!     The setting of the property is absolutely stunning, with the mountains in full view. The breakfast was incredible, and one of the nights that we stayed there we ate in the restaurant and had a beautiful homegrown meal.

    The building is amazing, an open courtyard with beautifully restored rooms leading off it. So much history, character and care, it was a privilege to stay here. Marchella was so welcoming and genuine with her hospitality and her son explained all the workings of the house. A perfect combination.

    It was an amazing experience staying in the countryside under the mountains. They place itself is gorgeous. They food and wine was excellent - we even came away with little taster of pecorina crema. The staff and especially the owners were so friendly, they couldn't do enough for us. Very peaceful, soul-reviving stay.
