United KingdomA beautiful and very modern cabin in a serene setting with almost no one around. Exceptional attention to detail with nothing left to chance. Excellent shower and bathroom. Very spacious, super modern even by hotel standards, with a really comfy bed. Top to bottom glass walls with beautiful views over the bay with seals (telescope included!) - watching them was great! Supermarket less than a 5 minute drive away. Hosts were wonderful. If you are the area and looking for peace and quiet, look no further - very highly recommended!

AustriaEverything, stunning location with a wide view over the valley, no light pollution (perfect to see Northern Lights). We stayed in the old house(should I say retro vintage?), luckily there were no other guests so we had it for ourselves😎. Beautifully arranged and spotless clean, rooms and bathroom are very modern, the rain shower was a high point, after driving 450km. Kitchen has everything we needed to prepare a great breakfast (it was my birthday), including free coffee and other items. Furniture brought us to another time in the past. We would definitely stay again

Beautiful location next to the tiny waterfall. Singing Redwings. Comfortable beds in the bedroom and a convertible sofa in the living room. Clean bathroom with a shower. The cabin is small but really cosy. We wished we could stay there longer. The Gil guesthouse is one of the accomodation jewels of Iceland. Our room was very nice and had everything we needed, we had our own bathroom, a table. Everything was very clean. We haven't met unfriendly Icelandic people during our vacation. But the kindness we experienced at Gil guesthouse was exceptional.
