I can't understand why this hotel only has a two star rating. The staff are friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was amazing. The place was spotless. The location is fantastic. Highly recommended.

    The breakfasts choice was superb and the quality of the breakfast was first class. The hosts were very friendly and did everything that they could to make our stay enjoyable. The room was kept clean and the tea/coffee/biscuit tray was replenished every day. The accommodation was situated in a convenient position to catch buses in either direction which enabled us to use public transport every day.

    Both Kim & Peter were excellent hosts. Nothing was too much trouble and they were very accommodating and friendly. The breakfast was really tasty, very well cooked and plenty of choice. The accommodation has such character and lovely relaxing areas both inside and out. I would definitely recommend this place and if I ever go back to the area I would definitely stay here.

    We enjoyed a 3 day stay at The Bedford as part of a touring holiday around Devon and Cornwall. We were welcomed by a friendly member of staff and checked into our spacious well equipped and comfortable sea view room. We enjoyed a really good bar lunch on our arrival and had 1 evening dinner in the restaurant during our stay which was well presented and delicious. The breakfast choice was really good, freshly cooked and set us up for the days touring the surrounding area.

    Everything was just perfect. I was positively surprised how cute the cottage was. It had Everything i needed including very private and dog safe south facing garden overlooking Devon's countryside. I have never had such relaxed holiday. I wish i could have stayed longer 🥰

    Welcomed by Kim who carried my bag upstairs as I use a stick. Small but well appointed and comfortable room with a modern en suite and tea, coffee and biscuits on hand. Excellent breakfast menu in the ‘barn’ - my full English was beautifully cooked and accompanied by juice, tea and toast. A delightful stay in high standard accommodation run by friendly and helpful hosts. Many thanks.
