We loved our stay at The Wheeldale and won't hesitate to come back! Immaculately clean room, lovely staff and we slept great during our stay. Check-in was quick and simple and we got some handy tips for the area. Shower pressure was very good too (which I personally find important).

Really friendly professional staff nothing too much trouble. We had a bit of an issue with the toilet flush which was resolved within half hour of our arrival. Stylish room with quality fittings. Liked that it was outside with easy access so didn't need to worry too much of disturbing anyone on our late return. The weather was really hot the weekend we visited but the room was pleasantly cool. Beautiful location, great views, nice being a little way out of the hustle and bustle of busy Scarborough. Would go back if was staying in the area again for a short break

    The accommodation was wonderfully quiet. Stayed for 5 nights on the top floor with no disturbance whatsoever. It was clean, with a good shower room, comfortable bed and chairs. The kitchen area was fully equipped. Great views of the bay and countryside.

    The 2nd cheapest of the 17 accommodations I booked for the C2C. A classic English seaside hotel – a little old and run down but offering everything you need for a very good price. We had a small room with an uncomfortable bed – so didn’t sleep very well. Although, the live Country music in the bar below didn’t keep us awake. The bathroom was tiny and anyone larger that ‘medium’ would have trouble fitting on to the toilet – it’s squeezed into a corner. The breakfast was fine.

    Location was perfect, just at the top of the bank and bus stop across the road to Whitby. Accommodation was quirky and bed was like the inside of an old fashioned ship. Use of the summerhouse that overlooked the bay was an unexpected bonus. Hosts very friendly and I will definitely be staying again.

    Cold and Damp , terrible smell of Damp in the Bedrooms , freezing cold on arrival, stairs far to steep would cause problems for very young children and older people . All in all a holiday ( we only stayed for 1 night out of 3 ) to forget John Gaughan
