Breakfast was exceptional. Fruit coffee juice and toast to start witha choice of 5 cooked to order mains including a burrito, waffles, granola and youghert. Hotel is brand new with a lovely minimalist design, polished concrete floors, wood and glass over three blocks. Didnt fully appreciate that this is run to generate profits that go entirely educating local kids. Amazing. Dutch couple running it are inspiring. Great bedding options ( we got 3 singles)

Before we went to Monte Verd, we didn’t make our plan properly. Fortunately, we made an absolutely right decision to reserve two nights with Magic Mountain. Following Andrey’s detailed instructions, we could enjoy beautiful views and the best adventures in Monte Verde. That’s a magic in Magic Mountain! Also, the beautiful garden and cozy room are impressive! Highly recommend!

From the moment we arrived Sergio was the consummate host, helping with luggage, showing us around the place, and the room. Everything about the place was clean, tidy and well cared for. The room was as described, and very comfortable, with a large walk in shower. Breakfast was excellent, a great choice of fruit, granola, eggs, toast, fruit juice and good coffee, all served with a lovely smile from Sergio and Katya. Then we had a disaster - on arrival at our next stay, some 4 hours away, we realised we had left a purse containing driving licence, ID cards, credit cards etc in the room safe. We contacted Sergio and he sprang into action, packaging the purse up and sending it by post to our final destination. He was so kind, cheerful and helpful throughout our stay, the very best Booking.com host we've ever had. Thank you again Sergio!!!

Our best accommodation on our month-long trip through Costa Rica, not so much for the amenities, which were fine, but mostly because of our host Lily, she is a great, always smiling and helpful person. Breakfast was very tasty, coffee, eggs or pancakes, always with fruit. The location was good too, walking distance about 10min to the centre of Santa Elena.

The place is amazing! You have so much space and a well equipped kitchen. The views from the terrace are just beautiful and it is a quiet place in the middle of the nature. The beds were comfortable and we really could relax there. It is a little bit of a drive from town, but no problem if you have a car! The owner was caring and so friendly!

The view was amazing and the staff, especially Axel and Tony were beyond helpful. Axel helped us book everything whilst we were there and Tony helped moving our things and taking us to and from the reception. This was my best stay whilst in Costa Rica!

Great place located ~5 min from the national park. Marcella, the host was great and provided all the information we needed. Due to the proximity to the forest lots of animals can be seen by the house. We saw many birds, Aguti and a large group of white-face monkeys. The washing machine in the facility was of great use for us.

    Carlos carlos carlos...he is as amazing host as the place! We love them all the same.. and also his wife Elena. If you don't stay here you're missing out on life! We didn't want to leave this place. Oh by the way the food was also lovely. He knows what is spicy what you ask him what is spicy! Don't go without the argentina pizza and cas juice! One of our best accommodation out of 100s of countries! Pura Vida!

    After a week in Costa Rica and being in one of the worst accommodations I have ever stayed at, Cattleya really felt like home! Very comfortable rooms, big kitchen where you could prepare meals with everything you need, host that books for you all the tours you want and gives you any kind of information! There is parking for the cars and you could then walk to the centre. That’s it - just perfect!

    this was definitely one of the best accommodations i’ve ever been to. the hosts were okay with my late arrival and overall they were SO nice and helpful. They helped me plan my stay in Monteverde and what to do, because i didn’t have anything planned. The place is about 10 minutes to the closest market with food and the closest restaurant was about 5 minutes walking. There is also very close a cafeteria and a souvenir shop- everything a tourist needs. Anywhere else i ordered a pick up with tour.

    I cannot say enough good things about this beautiful hotel! It was right next door to CPI, where I was attending language classes. The accommodations far exceeded my expectations. The WiFi was fast and they offered a large beautiful breakfast every morning, which was included in the price. The owner Alexis went out of his way to make my stay comfortable. I enjoyed myself so much I'm coming back to Monte Verde in a couple of weeks!

    The hosts are very friendly and helpful, and the location of the accommodation is close to the usual activities like the Hanging Bridges or a Coffee Tour. The bed quality was the best (out of ~6 accommodations we had) in Costa Rica; hence we had the best sleep of our holiday. Also the bathroom/shower room size was very convenient. The owners have a nice little cat, which is a clear bonus :)
