Our stay in Pingyao was absolutely unforgettable! The hotel is incredibly beautiful and authentic, with every detail carefully thought out and full of charm. I really made the right choice with this homestay in Pingyao! The location is absolutely a hidden gem—just a two-minute walk gets you to Rishengchang Bank, so there’s no need to get up early to soak in the Jin merchant culture. It’s super convenient to head back for a break after visiting the attractions. What’s more, the surrounding area is bustling with life. When you stroll out in the evening, the lanterns light up, and old shops and street food stalls are right in front of you, full of that lively, authentic vibe. No need to hunt for places to eat; just step into any spot, and it’s sure to be delicious. The biggest surprise, though, is the service here—they truly take care of every little detail. When I checked in, the owner warmly introduced local attractions, even telling me which shop has the most authentic Pingyao beef and the best time to visit Rishengchang to avoid crowds. That kind of thoughtful care makes the whole trip feel so warm. I’ll definitely stay here again when I come back to Pingyao. Great location, amazing atmosphere, and service that’s second to none—highly recommended!

We had a wonderful 3-night stay in this unique and charming apartment in the heart of Pingyao. The place is full of character and history, yet equipped with all modern comforts. What truly made the experience exceptional was our host, who was incredibly kind and helpful. He arranged transportation for us from and to the train station, as well as a private trip to visit the Shuanglin and Zhenguo temples outside the city—making everything smooth and stress-free. A truly authentic and memorable experience. Highly recommended!

Everything about it was amazing. First of all, location is absolutly perfect, right in the center of the old town, right next to the crossing of the two main steets. And despite that, we were well isolated from the noise in the evening. The room was very cosy, located at the back of a traditional courtyard. It was spotless and looked great. We even received a lovely little carpackage with local specialities. And last but not least, the personnel was extremely kind and accomodating. Alice gave us all the tips and information on how best to visit Pingyao and helped us with reservations and ticket purchasing, etc…

We were warmly welcomed by the owner and her staff. The structure is in the heart of the city, and has an enchanting internal cloister. The rooms are large and equipped with every comfort. The bathroom has both a bathtub and a shower. We felt at home and really appreciated the owner's hospitality and friendliness. We will definitely return.
