Located at the Paul Kruger Gate to the Kruger National Park, Kruger Gate Hotel is situated on the banks of the Sabie River. Our experience at Kruger Gate Hotel was absolutely amazing! The property itself is stunning, beautifully designed and impeccably clean throughout. The room was spacious and well-equipped, offering far more than we needed, especially since we spent most of our time out on safari. We used the gym, which was a great amenity, though we did miss having a spinning bike, would’ve loved that! My husband and I stayed for 5 days and 4 nights (we originally booked 3 nights and decided to extended 1 more) and honestly, we wish we had booked an extra day just to fully enjoy everything the hotel has to offer. The food was excellent every night, with a wide variety of proteins and vegetables, buffet-style, so we got to try something new each evening. The staff were truly exceptional. Everyone we interacted with was incredibly warm and helpful. A special mention to our waiter: Excellent, yes, that’s his name! :) who remembered our names and our usual drinks, making every dinner feel personalized and welcoming. The reception team was also fantastic, both in person and via the WhatsApp concierge line. The game drives, organized with an external provider, were also a highlight. Everything was well-coordinated, from timing to the packed breakfasts that were ready for us each morning. All in all, we highly recommend Kruger Gate Hotel

Set in Dullstroom, 8 km from Dullstroom Railway Station, Vetho Farmhouse Dullstroom features accommodation with spa facilities, wellness packages and beauty services. I had the most incredible stay at Vetho Farmhouse in Dullstroom. The view was simply breathtaking, and the farm itself felt like stepping into another world. The pool and spa were the perfect places to unwind, and the massage was pure bliss. Nanto, our host, was incredibly kind and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable, offering us invaluable tips and hiking ideas. Thank you for such a magical experience!

Umkumbe Bush Lodge - Luxury Tented Camp is a recently renovated luxury tent in Sabi Sand Game Reserve, where guests can makes the most of its pool with a view, garden and bar. We had an amazing three-night stay at Umkumbe bush Lodge. The staff were so friendly, welcoming and helpful. As there are only a few tents, they get to know your name and preferences and it feels like a home away from home. The accommodation is super clean, comfortable and exactly what you need for your visit. The common area had a wonderful pool and bar, where you can watch the wildlife pass by as you relax and unwind. The game drives start early in the morning, and it can be cold, but you are provided with warm fleece blankets as well as ponchos for when it rains. Both our guides (Pieter and Capps ) are very knowledgeable and good fun - they really look after us and engaged in conversation while on drives sharing their passion for the area. The coffee and drink stops were a highlight as well. We cannot rate this place highly enough and hope to return sometime in the future, l Thank you to everyone at Umkumbe for making this such a memorable experience and making us feel like more than just guests. Your personal touches did not go unnoticed

Set in Wakkerstroom, Wetlands Game Lodge offers free WiFi, and guests can enjoy a garden, a restaurant and a bar. The location is stunning, as the lodge is situated inside a huge land with ponds and hills where several types of wild animals roam freely (zebras, buffalo, eland, ostriches, etc.). Our room was spacious and very comfortable - the only downside being that the shower is literally inside the bedroom with no door to it, so water gets splashed outside unfortunately - and the high, king-sized bed was the most comfortable we've tried in South Africa. There was a bathtub in the open bathroom area which we never used. Before we arrived, we got a bit lost on the way as Google Maps took us on dead-end roads in the nearby town covered with tall wetlands grass, but thanks to Lulu and her sister who helped us on the phone and waited for us on the street in town, we were able to make it safely to the lodge, albeit very late at night! Thankfully, Christa came to pick us up after we parked at the gate since our car wouldn't have made it on the muddy road leading up to the lodge. Christa was so helpful during our stay, advising us on where to exchange money and helping us with the roads to take. A highlight of our stay at Wetlands Game Lodge was actually the food, especially the heavenly OUT-OF-THIS-WORLD fillet that melts in your mouth that was skillfully prepared by Chef Denzel. Dinner was waiting for us when we checked in around 10:30PM, and the fillet was still unbelievable! We ordered the same meat the next day, and we were pleased with the same quality. Also, Chef Denzel prepared a surprise cake for my husband as it was his birthday and Valentine's Eve as well, and the cake was excellent, too! Breakfast was decent and the latte was a great addition. We tried the couple massage with two ladies and were very pleased. We highly recommend this exceptional lodge and we hope to return soon!
