Ideally situated in the centre of Kathmandu, Skye Inn Kathmandu features air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, free private parking and room service. The Skye Inn was the perfect introduction to Katmandu. Although I arrived at 1:00 AM, they had a driver waiting. The staff was consistently informative and welcome. The buffet breakfast had many delicious selections. The location is away from the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu, with money a money exchange, restaurants and shops within steps. I plan to return to Nepal and the Skye Inn will be my choice once again.

Temple Himalaya Hotel & Spa features a garden, a shared lounge and a sun terrace with swimming pool and buffet breakfast in Pokhara. Amazing and friendly staff, big and lovely room, great location. After traveling for a while I was looking forward to a pool day which unfortunately wasn’t possible as there was an issue with the filter in the pool which would have been nice to learn in advance. Also had an issue with power cuts for the steam in the spa but ended up chatting to and getting to know the lovely staff for a long time instead which was super nice. A bit on the pricey side, but definitely recommended if within your budget and a nice relaxing stay :-)
