Situated in Sigiriya, 1.7 km from Sigiriya Rock, Sigiri Birds Hostel features accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a terrace. Nimeshikha is a wonderful, kind host. Staying in this hostel feels like a genuine cultural experience as you feel part of the family and the two little children are always running around and wanting to interact with you. Nimeshikha serves a delicious breakfast every day and she has her restaurant on site if you wish to eat lunch or dinner! My top tip: don't book any tours on Getyourguide as Nimeshikha's husband can arrange everything at a cheaper price! I arrived in Sigiriya with no plan, but the two hosts were able to advise me and help me organise everything. I extended my stay by two more nights and had three beautiful days exploring Sigiriya and nearby sites. A big thank you to Nimeshikha and Nuwan!

I stayed for 5 days. It was clean, and the pool was great. I ate at their restaurant once, and the food was very good. I needed to work online, and they made sure I had a good internet connection. It wasn’t super strong (nowhere in Sri Lanka is), but for the country, it was quite good and sufficient for working. I also had fresh water every day and was pleasantly surprised by the hot water pressure in the shower. Even though there weren’t many mosquitoes, they still provided an anti-mosquito product, which was a nice touch. But the best part? The owners. They were incredibly kind, attentive, and welcoming. Thank you so much!

Located in Sigiriya, 1.9 km from Pidurangala Rock, Sigiriya King's Resort provides accommodation with free bikes, free private parking, an outdoor swimming pool and a fitness centre. Sigiriya Kings Resort was the hidden gem during our stay in Sri Lanka. It is a place surrounded by nature and very quiet. There is a big pond that is right next to the lodge where you can see frogs and many many birds. The rooms are high standard, good and silent air conditioning, good shower with amenities, bathrobe, and a flash light. The people were extremely friendly and attentive. I could only touch a sun umbrella and within seconds somebody was there to help me. The continental breakfast was superb and we enjoyed it every day. Fresh juice, smoothie, yoghurt, eggs/bacon/beans, fruits, and sweets. We usually don’t eat dinner at the restaurant of the hotel but ended eating at this place every evening. The meals were so delicious and worth the price. Recommendation: Tom Yum soup and everything on the SKR specials page! They have multiple trips that they offer and arrange for you. We booked the safari in Hurulu. They knew exactly where the elephants were these days and we saw around 40 of them also very close up. Big thanks to our guide Samantha for the awesome experience🎉 And not to forget the lovely view to Lions Rock and Pidurangala. We took one of their bikes to make a nice 1.5h ride to the base of the Lions Rock and city center. It’s a cool way to discover the surroundings. We enjoyed everything and want to say big thanks to the owner and staff for taking such good care and making our stay unforgettable. ❤️

Best breakfast ever! Local and very abundant. The hosts are adorable and also organised a delicious dinner for us, transfer for our hikes and a one day tour and transfer to Kandy.

All the staff are too kind and cook amazing food, always different and fresh . Rooms are very clean and big with balcón Just in front of the Sigiriya rock!! TOTALLY RECOMMEND.
