I was welcomed with a drink, fresh fruit and cake. The studio was amazing value for money. Great views, extremely clean with a huge comfortable bed, balcony overlooking the beach with great views, kitchenette and great shower/bathroom. There was a welcome bowl of fresh fruit, plenty of towels, toiletries and free wifi. Camilas gave me restaurant recommendations, places of interest to visit and loaned me a bicylcle to get around. I couldn't recommend him highly enough. Negombo was pretty quiet from a tourist perspective, but plenty of great food options including both local and international cuisine.

The host is amazing.Picked me up at the airport with communication on WhatsApp and drove to the hostel. Was so helpful with organizing onward travel and as I sat down to register a friendly beer was put in front of me. The room is simple but all that anyone needs . Good aircon , solid WiFi. For a stay over this was perfect.

We stopped here during our long motorcycle trip and honestly, it was a great little break. The place is pretty new and super well maintained, with a big, green yard that’s perfect for relaxing after a long ride. Our room was super spacious and even had a small setup with an electric kettle so we could make a tea or coffee—nice little touch! The lady who runs the place is really sweet, speaks good English, and helped us out a lot. The place is a bit out of the way, but really peaceful, and as long as you follow your GPS, it’s easy to find. Plus, the owners can arrange a pick up from the bus station or airport. Breakfast was this amazing local spread—tons of flavor and all homemade, though it was a bit on the spicy side for our taste. Still, definitely a cozy and friendly spot worth checking out if you’re passing through.

Featuring a fitness centre and views of sea, Transit Studio Katunayake is a recently renovated apartment situated in Katunayake, 7.5 km from St Anthony's Church. We stayed one night at the Transit Studio Hotel, and it was a fantastic experience. Dave went above and beyond, picking us up from the airport at 2 AM, which was such a relief after a long journey. He was incredibly helpful, not only with the late-night pickup but also in assisting us with planning our route the next day. The hotel is conveniently located less than 10 minutes from the airport and directly across from the TukTuk Rentals office, making it perfect for travelers starting their Sri Lanka adventure. Our room was spotless, equipped with air conditioning, and had an extremely comfortable bed that guaranteed a good night’s sleep. We will definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone passing through!

Located within 700 metres of Negombo Beach and 3.6 km of St Anthony's Church, Bee Nest Bed & Breakfast features rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Negombo. Hosts, Buddi and family, were amazing. They kindly stayed up late to welcome us on arrival and helped us arrange transport to Kandy the following morning. The rooms were comfortable and clean with a lovely common area. (We only stayed one night so didn’t get to explore the surrounding area.)

Run by a local family, Villa Shade is a charming and peaceful property surrounded by green gardens, just 4 km from Negombo City. Villa Shade is a hidden gem! The property was beautiful with lovely tropical gardens and comfortable rooms (with a fabulous outdoor bathroom). Shiraj was a lovely host who cares deeply about the property and his guests. They have created a beautiful and welcoming atmosphere and even grow an all organic garden on the property! All of the staff was helpful and hospitable during our stay and accommodated a very early morning checkout time- we wished we had more nights to spend at this hotel.
