The following day, we enjoyed a full-day safari in Wilpattu National Park, which I highly recommend! We were lucky enough to spot sloth bears, leopards, and elephants—a truly unforgettable experience. Moni Farmhouse is brand new and beautifully designed. It felt like staying in a private suite surrounded by nature, offering peace, comfort, and total immersion in the wilderness. All our meals—breakfast, lunch, and dinner—were freshly prepared and delicious. After our stay, Buddika also arranged our transfer to Anuradhapura, making everything seamless and stress-free. The owner and his family, the food, the services, the garden and the cleanliness. Even though the property is a bit away from the main road, we were always provided with transportation as and when required at a very good price. They also helped arrange the village tour and Minneria Safari at a competitive price. Always willing to sort out things for you, you just have to mention something and they would be able to arrange it for you.

We enjoyed our stay at Monaara. The Staff was very friendly, check-in process very smooth, family room has a good size (2 adults, 2 kids). After having toured the ancient city & temples, especially kids enjoyed the pool a lot! At the evening chef Lakitha serves delicious local food - including some special dishes for our kids! For Breakfast you have to try the self-made peanut butter… and fruits harvested from the own garden. It just was a lovely stay!

It is just in front of the lake with an amazing view of the ancient city. There is plenty of green space to walk and enjoy, and the rooms are all positioned with an amazing view. Our rooms were spacious and comfortable for our guests and friends. Everyone was happy. In addition, the hotel accommodated a few special needs for our group, which was extremely hospitable. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this place for your stay in Anuradhapura.

Amazing food, you’ve got to try the SL breakfast. Staff are lovely. Rooms are clean. Pool was refreshing. Great value for money. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Beautiful resort with extremely peaceful environment. Perfect for families to relax and enjoy! They have a wonderful pool which our 3 kids really enjoyed after returning from an early morning trek to Sigiriya Lion Rock. They upgraded our room for free and entire staff was smiling and super helpful. I even received a 15% discount on carbonated beverages on check out. The fish aquariums were stunning sight upon entry! All good things to say about the whole experience!
