It was a great visit! The mattress was extremely comfy. The coffee and breakfast were great (I really liked the pancakes with cream) and all of the food I tried in the restaurant. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I got a chance to visit the Stalin museum and visited the Uplistsikhe mountainside cave town, which was extraordinary to see. Gori is a lovely city and the hotel is a great value.

Situated just 1.3 km from Stalin Museum, Tamar Guest House offers accommodation in Gori with access to a garden, a bar, as well as a 24-hour front desk. This is great value for money, it is basic accommodation and the room is a bit small but I think it is worth it for a couple of nights. We were allowed to view our room before we checked-in in case we wanted to upgrade to a room with a toilet, as the shared bathroom is upstairs just inside the main house but we didn't mind and stayed in our original room. The hosts are absolutely lovely, very helpful and kind. They have a family taxi and can organise day trips for you. The location is good because it is across from a lovely park that comes alive in the evening, there is a bakery and shops nearby but it's a bit of a wall to restaurants. It's a lovely building with a few nice places to chill outside.
