We had a fantastic time at Valter & Dritas and found it to be great value! It is located in the hills, just above Theth and provides stunning views of the valley. A peaceful and tranquil environment to relax in. The guesthouse is run by the family, who are excellent hosts and very genuine lovely people. They provided breakfast and dinner throughout our time there, which was home cooked and delicious. There was a good range of food available and we enjoyed slowly exploring the menu during our time there. We had 3 full days in Theth, during which we hiked the Valbona Pass, Blue Eye Kaprre and Grunas waterfall. Valbona Pass, is a tough but stunning walk which is well worth the effort. The Blue Eye was excellent too, the water was crisp and refreshing, the perfect respite from the Albanian heat. This walk is deceptively challenging and we’d recommend getting a taxi to the drop off location. Grunas waterfall was a fun hike and slightly less demanding after the other hikes. They have fresh spring water at the guesthouse which is safe to drink, so no need to bring bottled water with you. There are cute dogs, cats and chickens around the residence. If you like to sleep in, I’d bring ear plugs as the cockerels do their thing in the mornings. Overall, we had a great time. Whether you are looking for exciting and challenging hikes around the Albanian Alps or just want to unwind and relax in the hills.

Offering an on-site restaurant, Rozafa Hotel is set in Shkodër, 5 km from Rozafa Castle Shkodra and 6 km from Lake Skadar. Guests can enjoy a drink at the hotel's bar. As we came in a not so busy time of the year, they upgraded our room for free. Huge bed, we came with a child and it was spacious for all three of us. Staff were really helpful on every step.

The hotel is located just steps from the center of Shkoder, providing everything you need. The room is beautiful and very clean. The breakfast was delicious, the staff were extremely warm, kind, and helpful. Special thanks to the reception and restaurant team for their hospitality; they were always ready to help and ensure everything was perfect throughout my stay.

Situated in the center of Shkodër, Hostel Mi Casa Es Tu Casa offers a shared terrace with free-to-use barbecue facilities. Free Wi-Fi access is available. Since the beginning we have immediately felt super welcoming. The guy in the reception, Sam, is an incredible soul, really patient. In fact he showed us around all the hostel, because we didn't really know where we wanted to sleep. The room where we decided to stay was the Suite 1 and we were so impressed of how beautiful it was! Clean, with a private bathroom and an incredible bohemien atmosphere. We stayed there for the new year and Christmas, without really a plan and far away from home. But was a surprise to see that the hostel organized and incredible dinner all together, where every kind of guest could take something to offer and to share! Really like a big family! In the morning we decided to try the amazing Albanian breakfast for a affordable cost of 5 €/person and was really worth it! We tried homemade Petula, which are like tradition Albanian pancake and a lot of other local stuff. Super, what can we say! Thank you for everything!

Excellent wifi and helpful to have a tourist map and guide in apartment. Spar supermarket 100m away (best supermarket we’ve come across in a week in Albania). 10min walk from downtown so good position. Incredible value for money

Nicolaus Hidden Gem Villa is a recently renovated holiday home in Shkodër, where guests can make the most of its free bikes and garden. The air-conditioned accommodation is 48 km from Port of Bar. everything was great. the owner was very nice and helpful. we recommend!
