Wow, this has been a great experience! The Colonial House Motel is a lovely place, a beautiful garden, nice rooms, filled with hospitality. Owner Mark personally showed us our room, making us feel welcome from the very first second on. The room is equipped with everything an (overseas) tourist needs. In our room there was even a travel adapter power plug. Laundry service is available complete with clothes airers. When we arrived, Mark was working in the garden. Upon arrival he said we came on a good time: time also for a short break from gardening. This was another way we felt very welcome. The owners not just own this place, they live it. They live hospitality. Thanks very much, Mark and Paula. I would highly recommend the Colonial House Motel for anyone travelling in the Kerikeri and Bay of Islands area.

The motel was eco-friendly and we received a very warm welcome. One of the very few places where you regret not staying longer. We loved our stay at Kauri Park Motel.

Family 2 bedroom units were very new, super clean and location right in town centre (which also had a very refreshingly newly upgraded feel) made it easy to get to supermarket, eating places and playing field. Washing machine and dryer inside the apartment added to the homely feel of the place!
