Probably the best holiday destination I’ve ever visited. Dave and his staff have served us with delicious food with home made cake and his signature dishes. Also we've been privileged to taste Dave’s Artisan Teas and experience the Tea making process. Beautiful surrounding with excellent misty weather. The Breakfast was exceptional. Sri Lankan favourite string hoppers and the Freshest fruits with Dave's homemade Marmalade and Jams. The best Curd I've ever had. Oh I love the coffee Dave offered!! Super clean rooms and awesome library room with lots of splendid books. Oh we miss Charley so badly.. adorable companion.. :) I would give my highest recommendation and I will definitely visit again! thank you David and the awesome team!

I recommend the place, the rooms have a great quality of matress, the breakfast super tasty and variable. The service of the personal was great and the most important for me was the internet works very fast. It is ideal Location for people that work and travel or just travel. The room is big and the bathroom is very stylish, everything super clean and the most important at Night very quiet to relax. The communication was amazing. They give us a lot of recommendations of what to do in Kandy and in Sri Lanka. I think is of the best accomodation in Sri Lanka. Everything fantastic. I love my days in Kandy. Beautiful house and grounds. We were the only guests and the hotel really feels more like a private home. The staff set up tables in different parts of the garden at different times of day - lovely shady breakfast under the mangosteen tree, which a staff member nipped up to pick us the fruit! All the rooms are beautiful and spacious, the hotel has lots of nice places to sit with a drink or a book. Lovely pool. Delicious food. Filtered water on tap. Kind and thoughtful staff. Perfectly placed in quiet surroundings just outside Kandy, but easy to get in and out by tuktuk or car.

The Kandy House was our favourite hotel in Sri Lanka aesthetically and for service and in our opinion should be the model for for all manor houses in Sri Lanka in terms of interiors, grounds and operations. The house has been kept in impeccable condition, preserving the beautiful heritage while flawlessly balancing more modern Sri Lankan artists and textiles. We were only in Kandy briefly, and the hotel manager who personally greeted us on arrival, organized a quick tuk tuk tour of the highlights, a beautiful meal, packed lunches for the train journey the next day while also making sure we had time to enjoy the beautiful pool and grounds. The manager was exceptional at his job. Everything ran like clockwork.The staff were attentive, courteous and discreet. The food was amazing. We arrived exhausted and departed less than 24 hours later with a new vibrancy after delicious food and deep rest. This is the kind of hotel you want to live in and I would have spent an extra day in Kandy just to have one more night at this property. This is the experience one always hopes for. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
