Away from it all! This is the kind of location where you go for the breathtaking nature views, trekking, walking and getting lost in nature. Restaurant in area that serves good food as well. It was raining but it was still perfect. Breakfast items were available in room for us to use. You need to park car spme minutes away from accomodation so better travel light.

At first sight, the house might look as if it has fallen out of time. But when you check in, you remember that good hotels used to have a soul - because Hotel Sommeiler still has one. I definitely had fun during my stay and felt appreciated as a guest. The manager sugessted a very nice walking itinerary that had a bit of everything to be seen in Bardonecchia. Don't miss the dinner buffet - it has very much choice and is incredibly good value. I also liked the breakfast a lot (choice and quality of the products). My room was quiet and I appreciated the good place for my bicycle. The hotel is situated close to the train station and the main shopping street of Bardonecchia.

The room was cozy with all essential facilities, and breakfast is included and provided by the bar below the room. Well-insulated room, ensuring comfortable temperature and minimal outside noise. I travelled with a group of 10 who were staying in the Hotel Torre but due to a medical reason I needed to be more local to the center and chairlifts. The K2 was perfect for this, albeit there is still a steep climb to the Clotes lift. The ski bus stops directly outside if you want to go to the Sportinia lift and the hotel does have a secure boot room if required. The bar area was great, the whole group used it everyday after skiing and a few nights after our dinner. Prices are reasonable and regularly given free small baskets of selected canapes and crisps. Reception, breakfast room and bar staff were great and very friendly.
