Fantastic location - close to the highway, but you feel like you are in the middle of unspoiled forests. It's worth the drive up a bit to have such spectacular views! The cozy little hotel where you feel at home. Great design and perfect cleanliness of the room and common areas. But the biggest asset of this place is the host, who runs the best restaurant in the area - he has a wonderful intuition for combining the best ingredients, gives excellent advice and serves the best wines not only in the Basque Country, but in all of Spain (we visited this place not for the first time and always take some bottles with us :-D).

Excellent place to stay if doing the Camino Del Norte. It is about 100m just off Simon Bolibar Plaza in Ziortza-Bolibar (which is on the camino path). Never saw host as you self check in but they were very quick to respond and helpful when you message them. You are emailed the entry codes the day prior. Modern kitchen and living area with TV on ground floor. I had a 4 bed (2 × bunks) with own bathroom. Bed was comfortable and place was quiet through the night. Hot shower with good water pressure. Liquid hand soap provided. Linen was clean, and heating worked well. They have a credential stamp on the kitchen table. Used the correos service to have luggage transfered to and from and that went well. Had a very comfortable stay. Wifi worked well. There is quite a good Eroski supermarket in Markina across the road from the camino path- best to get groceries there as no store near accomodation and nothing else was open when I arrived and left (but I could see there were some food places but they weren't open). Some reviews mentioned getting food from vending machines at the accomodation but it only had a few drinks when I was there.

The staff, Anstey is very cheerful and helpful. She patiently explains the menu to us and answered all our queries. Speak very good English.. Hotel is very old but nicely renovated.. Food is good

I was on a business trip in Arrasate-Mondragon with my fellow worker and we stayed in Goiko for almost 2 weeks. We could not have better stay. The host Karmele is incredibly hospitable woman. She made us feel at home. The breakfast prepared by her is deliciosus, made of local food. She was also very helpful with restaurant's recomendations, instructions on how to get to the city and what to see there. The hotel is placed in a small village with beautiful view on mountans. The whole place is very clean (rooms are clean every day). We definitely need to go back to this place but not to work this time :P
