The flat was absolutely fantastic! The size alone blew our mind, it's huge! It has been furnished beautifully and with great care to make you feel at home. The host really thought things through to make sure there is everything you need. Schleiden is a cute little town. We were able to hike straight from our front door. Beautiful woodland walks just behind the property. Very good for keeping fit as there are plenty of steep inclines! The host provided a selection of local maps with round trips for hiking. Check in was great, we arrived an hour early and I called him. He was so kind and helpful, he let us in to the flat and came by shortly afterwards to programme the key pad with our personal code to get in and out. Very modern! It worked great and you don't need to worry about losing your keys!

The room was basic, for one, peacefull and humbling. Nothing to complain of. It is still a monastery. Location brilliant. Having breafast in a monastery hall was both wonderfull and a great experience. A little issue with language barrier, but it was expected. If you enjoy simple things don' t miss it.

The apartment is located very close to the Monschau old town. Spacious apartment to stay for a couple, it also has a kitchen for simple cooking. The staff is super friendly, though English is not their comfort language they still tried to communicate through google translate. Cozy, tidy apartment highly recommended.
