Drake Bay is a remote yet breathtaking destination, and our stay at Natural Drake Bay Hotel made our visit truly unforgettable. We spent four nights here as the final leg of our Costa Rica trip, hoping to find a comfortable place that would enhance our experience of this faraway corner of the world. I’m thrilled to say we couldn’t have chosen a better place. Natural Drake Bay is a family-run hotel situated in a stunning location, perched perfectly to offer beautiful views of the bay. Both the pool and restaurant offer stunning views of the bay, creating a mesmerizing scene —at one point, we even saw whales jumping from the water! The beach is also just a 3 minute walk. Patricia, Daniel, and their team, particularly Victor, provide a luxurious experience. Throughout our stay, we felt very well cared for. Everyday, when you arrive, Patricia welcomes you with refreshing, beautifully scented cold towels, which is a wonderful treat after a hot day. Victor then serves the most exquisite fruit juices I’ve ever tasted. Even when activities (Corcovado Park visit, Snorkeling in Caño Island, ….) started at the crack of dawn, they were there to prepare breakfast for you The hotel takes great pride in highlighting local cuisine at dinner, with top quality produce exquisitely cooked. The rooms offer views of the surroundings, which were full of life (Birds, Iguanas, Monkeys) and relaxing in the hammocks was a spectacle in itself. Toucans would perch in the tree next to the cabin, while showering. The toiletries were of high quality, adding to the overall sense of luxury. In summary, Natural Drake Bay Hotel provided us with an exceptional experience, combining comfort, natural beauty, and warm hospitality.

We had amazing two nights at Greenleaf. The family-run business provides absolutely clean rooms with an amazing view, with monkeys, tucans and hummingbirds right in front of your terrace. They organized limited available tickets for the national park for us, which is a must-do. They've also invited us to their local yearly turtle release festival which was simply stunning. And the food is awesome.

Very sympathic host and a beautiful familiy raised lodge! Best service you can imagine. Sourrounded by only rainforest.

This place is amazing, definitely recommend. The staff goes out of their way to welcome you and help you plan your tours. It’s only a 10-min walk or so to the main beach, and only an 3-minute walk to the main diving/snorkelling centre. When we didn’t have a tour planned, we spent our day chilling at the pool which was absolutely amazing and beautiful. I spotted multiple beautiful birds (eg humming birds) and iguanas from the pool.

Javier and his girlfriend are really nice and the room was cozy. Everything is nicely decorated and it's possible to use the kitchen and common areas even in heavy rain! Everything is clean, great breakfast, walking distance everywhere. We definitely recommend staying here! You can also book different tours with Javier.

Nice place, people and rooms. Good value for the money.

Rustic wooden wooden bungalow that was spotlessly clean. Comfortable bed with crisp white bed linen and fresh towels. Good quality hot shower. lovely balcony overlooking the garden below. Excellent value for money. Really nice vibe throughout the hostel which is owned and run by the same guys who run Sukia travel and are incredibly experienced and passionate local Costa Rican guides who understand the area of Drake bay and Corcovado well. They were all incredibly kind and welcoming and their enthusiasm for the rainforest is infectious. This is not 5 star luxury, but an authentic jungle lodge and with that sometimes the jungle comes into the room in the form of bugs (although minimal and no mosquitos when we were there) and occasional lizard so bear in mind if this would bother you, but for us it was all part of the experience, we would highly recommend and would stay again.

Beautiful place at the end of Drake Bay! The transfer with the public boat was working great and we were getting help with the luggage right away. The room was spacious, directly above the hiking trail, it was very nice, from the seats in front we had a nice view under the palm trees onto the water. Breakfast was good, the tours into the national park were absolute Highlights of our trip. The dinner in the Restaurant was also great, also a good place for a smoothie after a tour. Staff was very helpful and friendly. There are also additional nice places to eat some meters away. We had some great days there.
