We absolutely adored our stay here! The location is absolutely beautiful with warm water. The beach is coral on one half - take care not to kick it and hurt yourself or to stand/kick it and break it - and sandy on the other half. This provides the perfect opportunity to swim and snorkel! The hotel provides the opportunity to rent kayaks, stand up paddle boards and snorkel gear.
The restaurant on the beach front is so beautiful as well. We had one small breakfast here, we got the fruit bowl and it was quite small and expensive but it was delicious.
The rooms is nice and spacious, the AC is a life saver as is the fridge - to keep water cold. Soap and shampoo are provided as well. There's a safe in the room which is appreciated for peace of mind. There is a smart TV, we did watch part of a show one night so this was a nice touch we didn't anticipate using.
The location is probably the absolute best part of this hotel. It is quite close to Lamai - 2km. We rented a motorbike and got to everywhere we wanted to be within 10 minutes, usually. If you are not renting a motorbike then I'm sure taxis are available. The hotel can rent the bike for you and there is also Mr.Pongs motorbike rental just around the corner. They were great, we rented through them because the hotels provider didn't have the bike we were looking for available at the time. So you have a pretty central location and it's off a main road, yet somehow you cannot hear the road from the resort. The have fountains and trees with birds during the day, at night the frogs and crickets come out. It's a complete escape. I would expect to need to be more remote for such an experience. It was so calm and peaceful. I'm not sure that pictures do it justice, it was even better than I'd hoped.
And the staff at the hotel are very kind and helpful. We got help with laundry, tour booking, motorcycle booking, everything and anything.

Very comfortable bed, room was large, bathroom was outside of room which was an experience that we got used to after a day
Swimming pool was so good and private that we haven't used our private pool in the room.
Breakfast was good and the dinner at the restaurant was amazing.
Plunge pool was a bit of waste because the big pool was empty 99% of the time and we prefered it.
We end up extending two more nights.

If you want a hotel awafrom the music and nightlife this hotel is for you.
If you want to go Lamai beach and shops you will either need a taxi or take the hotel shuttle at 200 Thai Baht per- person each way which I paid, the taxi journey is about 10 mins. I would not advise walking, the journey it's up hill and hot.

I enjoyed the restaurants and I found a massage therapist who was awesome.
I was not impressed with the beach. There was a lot of rubbish in spots. Some days the wind was high and the waves were so rough you could not go in the water.
I like to walk the beach and parts of it the sand was too soft to walk. The sand was also soft when you got in the ocean and make it hard to stand for me. The water was not crystal clear like Koh Tao.
I had just come from Phuket which has incredible beaches and maybe that was why I was disappointed in the beach.

Silver Beach Resort was a Little Gem.
Silver Beach Resort was a Little Gem.
All the staff were amazing, very experienced Massage Therapists in a Room right on the beach.
The Bar and Restaurant was buzzing during the day with a good choice of drinks with a good choice of food, which was really good at a reasonable price.
The Beach is excellent, a beautiful location.
This Resort is in a quiet location within a 2K walk of Lamai for restaurants, Bars gyms etc, although there are restaurants within a 5 minute walk; I recommend 'Spoons' for authentic Thai food.

Lamai is not as crowed and crazy with tourism as Chaweng.
Lamai is not as crowed and crazy with tourism as Chaweng. I highly recommend to rent a car for your visit. I paid about 30 Euro or 36 US $ per day for the car and it made my trip great. Previously, I had a Vespa / Scouter , its dangerous and sweaty ! The best way to get around is by ,rent it at the airport. Easy to get there and easy to pick up , drop off. I did not trust any other car rental places. If you want to see Koh Samui, driving by car opened my eyes about many different locations and you can drive to each side in about 45 minutes... Have fun !

It is fine.
It is fine. Better for pre-teens and families I think than Chaweng.
Still, its mainly hotels/resorts then gaps with bars/massage/laundry etc
But we felt safe and enjoyed some exploring the surrounding area. Some good local restaurants a short taxi ride away

What a lovely beach with nice beachfront restaurants and hotels. Really enjoyed the food and atmosphere at the bamboo restaurant with had tables and chairs on beach. Shopping was limited but adequate for holiday requirements.
We've been visiting this hotel for many year since its opening. It was really nice to find it popular and thriving and after all Covid lockdowns. Freshly painted rooms, new air-conditioners, new bathroom equipment and mattresses , fresh towels and bed linen, wonderful tropical garden, one of the best restaurants on Lamai with sea-view terrace . We really appreciate the everyday work of the staff and the management, who keep this place so well maintained and clean and invest into the property development during all this difficult time.
What an amazing find! This hotel was run by a lovely family who were extremely accommodating and helped us with booking all the excursions we had planned for koh samui plus more, we wouldn’t have been able to do it without their help and efficient contacts. The owners and staff were amazing and always went above and beyond to help us with any queries we had. The breakfast was incredible and the facilities were great. Amaya resort is our favourite hotel we stayed at in Thailand and already can’t wait to be back!
We had such a lovely time at this hotel. The staff were so welcoming and the rooms was spacious and clean. There was a very nice, family vibe and we felt very comfortable!
The hotel had a lovely pool looking out on to the sea, free paddle boards and kayaks to use which were very fun! There was a fun fire show on Fridays which we loved and the dinner we had there was delicious!
The breakfast had so much choice and was very generous!
We would definitely stay here again if we returned to Koh Samui in the future!
This hotel is amazing. Great location right on the beach yet only a few meters from the main street with lots of restaurants, bars and shops. Lots of well-kept greenery makes you feel like you are in a small botanical garden. The extremely friendly staff look after you in every way, including at the excellent breakfast or even at the beach bar. The hotel is reasonably sized and there is a quiet intimate atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and if we return to Koh Samui, definitely to this hotel.
It's right on the beach which is amazing. If you just want to chill by the water then this is the place for you. The pool was also really great. I wrote a lot of notes below but being on the beach really was the highlight and outweighed the things below. Just know that it's the beach front that you are paying for. We've stayed in nicer cheaper hotels in Thailand. But the location is the main draw here. Also, it was a REALLY quiet hotel for Koh Samui. We heard almost no noise and slept really well here!
Amaya resort is probably the best value for money you can find on Lamai Beach. It's run by a very friendly French family, so there's always someone you can speak English to. The rooms and the hotel are exceptionally clean, the staff is extremely polite and friendly, the bed is super comfortable and the pool is lovely too. As you can see on the map, the hotel is about a 15 minute walk / 5 minute moped ride from the centre / beach, so set your expectations accordingly and you'll have a wonderful stay.
I really liked this place. I love small boutique hotels and this was one of the best. I really liked that breakfast was brought to the room, once they even brought it to me in the pool simply because at the appointed time I was in the pool and not in the room. The owners of the place are very nice people. They helped me with car rental and other tips about the island. In general, the whole atmosphere in the hotel is very friendly. There are also bicycles for guests use free of charge.
The hotel was stylish in asian theme, the facility is well maintained. Low rise building (2 floors). Lots of trees and flowers. The room was spacious and comfortable with a large bed and jacuzzi at the balcony. Both pools were good. Wonderful breakfast with a variety of asian and European - healthy food e.g. homemade jam which was fresh and not too sweet. Perfect location at the heart of Lamai beach.
Eco friendly e.g. open-air lobby, using glass bottles instead of plastic.
Honestly this is my 2nd time here and I have the wonderful experience here again which is wonderful. Though it was my first time for my family to stay here and they really liked this place. The staff were nice and professional on all services. The breakfast is good, and the beach activities brought us a lot of fun. The staff at the beach were very helpful. I'll definitely go back to stay at Banyan Tree Samui again for sure.
Hotel is closed to the HinTa HinYan touristic spot, but not disturbed and quiet enough. Olivier, the owner and all his staff were very kind and friendly and ready to help. The room was clean and spacious enough, the beach surrounded by giant stones is clean and calm. The breakfast was outstanding - you can choose from various Thai and European dishes. We will definitely return when coming to Koh Samui again.
The location is very central Lamai Beach Resort. Normally hotels in this area suffer noise but Baan Pitcha is located in an area quite sheltered from the nightlife noise pollution and it's easy to get a peaceful night's sleep. You can park outside the rooms and there is a rather lively little garden within the complex with an evening frog chorus for your pleasure!
I visit Samui often and always stay here when I’m in Lamai. The rooms are basic but comfortable and clean, the grounds are well maintained and it has two pools to choose from. Beachside is a perfect location to chill, with good food and cold drinks. All the staff are very friendly and welcoming. Great beachside resort at a great price. See you soon.
The Staff were some of the most helpful on our entire Thailand trip. We stayed in many hotels, airbnb's and Coco's was probably the best value for money and a true surprise to us. We only booked for one night as it was a transitionary travel day for us. This could have easily been our base for the entire Samui league. We will be back!
The outrigger hotel is the most beautiful place I’ve stayed. The pictures do not do the hotel justice as it was breathtaking! It really feels like you are in a 5 star hotel, the staff are so helpful and the rooms are exquisite. I could not fault this hotel in any way, it made our holiday in Koh Samui.
The hotel is right in the middle of Lamai. The beach area is perfect. Rooms are very comfortable. Staff is very kind. The poo area is beautiful. Just like the pictures.
Everything is good, staff are extremly nice, kitchen guy-cheff and his son are very very nice and best.
owner is also very Nice and his wife. Best stay in koh samui
